The role:

Reporting our our Associate Director of Sales, the Account Manager works to ensure the execution of Kao's Marketing, Category Management and Sales plans for regional and / or national customers either directly or together with our broker partners across multiple classes of trade.

You will meet sales goals and achieve profitable growth while working with cross functional groups at Kao, their customers, and brokers (where applicable). You will develop and present materials needed to conduct business reviews, new item presentations and evaluate the execution of customer specific business plans they develop.

You will also establish and track their promotional activities to stay within budgets. You will maintain a positive working relationship with customers, brokers (where applicable) and internal cross functional colleagues across many levels within each organization.

What you will do:

  • Establish and hone customer businesses activities that sync with assigned sales and brand goals to achieve profitable growth including assortment, merchandising, pricing and product placement activities across all assigned customers.
  • Develop and course correct any needed changes to promotional activities to maintain positive fund balances.
  • Maintain communication of these activities and update all important partners on spending status and activity results.
  • Share ongoing analysis of customer results and performance vs. goals.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Overnight business travel. Cadence and frequency will vary and can be up to 40% including travel that will require air and automobile travel.
  • Need at least 2-5 years selling experience, preferably within the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Must have well developed knowledge and execution of sales, marketing, and category management principles.
  • Experience analyzing, developing, and negotiating promotional activity along with managing trade funds is needed.
  • Must have experience presenting among multiple levels of customers, brokers and internally with colleagues both in person and in virtual meeting settings.
