Purpose of Role

The key function of this role is to support the Business Development Manager, eCommerce & retail, Nordics (hereinafter BDM) with the commercial plans in order to deliver on our commercial targets in the Nordic e-commerce & retail channels.  Collaborating also with the Nordic and Regional Team, the person in this role will maintain and execute opportunities to optimize the presence of Kao Salon brands in these channels.  This role will also rely on close collaboration with the CS&P team to develop and deliver individual customer Joint Business Plan targets across Nordics. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the commercial sections of the local initiative calendar and regional toolboxes for the Nordic E-Commerce & Retail Sales Channels/Customers to deliver Net Sales and Business Profit growth targets through increased horizontal and vertical distribution.  
  • In partnership with the BDM support the annual budget process for the Nordic markets to create robust building blocks across the Kao Salon brands. Collaborate with the BDM and CS&P team to ensure multi-functional planning and assumptions behind each building block.  
  • Provide market analysis of customers and competitors to identify growth opportunities. Utilize sound financial analysis to track performance monthly and identify risks and opportunities as part of the monthly business tracking process including sell in and sell out numbers. 
  • Lead analysis of the e-com & retail marketing to measure key success drivers. Analysis to cover KPIs linked to key targets for horizontal and vertical distribution. Make recommendations to improve performance based on the conclusions drawn. 
  • Maintain and optimize the Kao Salon brands presence across the e-comm & retail business i.e. video, images, text and SEO optimization as well as planograms and merchandising. 

Other Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree requiredMasters Degree preferred
  • Min +2 years of experience of working in eCommerce & brand page management.  
  • Experience with preparation and execution of joint business plans 
  • Implementing long-term & short-term sales strategies, promotions and working within company set guidelines to maintain both equity and profitability of brands 
  • Experience in same/similar industry sectors i.e. consumer, beauty, luxury and possibly fashion. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook as well as sales tools and systems e.g. Power BI and Sales Force. 
  •  Language proficiency: fluent in one of the Nordic languages as well as English.
