As the Assistant Manager, Global PR and Communications you will help drive the global communications strategy in order build brand equity and create meaningful storytelling across all markets. You will be an important driver in building Oribe Hair Care as a global brand in beauty, hair care and luxury through press and influencer strategies that increase awareness, strengthen brand equity and drive revenue.

Reporting to the Associate Director, you will support the brand's growth through strategic launches and partnerships, elevated and experiential events, engaging influencer programs, and thoughtful storytelling that helps drive impactful press coverage across the globe.

Education and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (major in Journalism and/or Communications preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a communications role
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the beauty industry
  • Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to travel 2-5 times per year domestically and internationally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support regional teams in the execution of local PR activities by managing press interview requests, press/influencer activities, content and creative requests, and more.
  • Be the day-to-day contact and participate in calls with each region.
  • Help execute strategic partnerships that align Oribe with like-minded brands to strengthen brand equity, introduce the brand to a new audience and have revenue-driving potential.
  • Help identify new potential partners that align with Oribe and help execute PR activities to support current partners.
  • Help develop PR tools and assets for all markets, including PR strategies, press releases, Q&As, and event materials. Ensure messaging and brand standards are maintained through storytelling and compelling content.
  • Help execute high touch press and influencer events to foster storytelling opportunities and build meaningful brand relationships.
  • Help develop creative event assets, help source venues, ideate interactive moments, liaise with vendors and own general administrative tasks.
  • Support the PR team in the execution of internal/corporate communications plans.
  • Draft compelling content including weekly PR Highlights reports, activity recaps, beauty awards announcements, and more.
  • Present PR updates and recaps on company meetings.
  • Help collect and analyze PR reports for each region to ensure KPI objectives are established and being met. Work with each region to develop recaps following key initiatives to measure and evaluate Return on investment.
  • Manage global press, influencer and awards trackers, clips, event recaps and share insights with team.
  • Support the PR team with general administrative tasks including product forecasting, sample tracking and ordering, organization of PR materials and collateral, and more.
