The role:

Sourcing category management for a group of packaging materials and or raw materials that includes managing the execution of the sourcing strategy , supplier management and negotiation.  In addition this role provides technical input during the NPD process, engages in problem solving and is responsible for providing input into the financial planning process which includes budgeting, risk management and TCR leadership.

What you will do:

  • Understand business needs , industry dynamics  to develop  appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and transactions. 
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships.
  • Financial planning that includes budgeting, risk management and cost management ( TCR). 
  • Support The NPD process through team work and effective communication.
  • Support Japan Corporate global procurement initiatives. 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in business or relevant.
  • 3+ years functional experience in strategic procurement.
  • Experience within a CPG Company preferred.
  • Experienced in negotiation.
  • Solid knowledge , SCM Practices and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and brand marketing desired.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational environment.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic agility.
  • Basic SAP proficiency.
