Workday HRIS Analyst

The Role

Kao USA is seeking a Workday HRIS Analyst to join the Total Rewards team. The role reports to the HRIS Manager and will partner with the Workday team and business colleagues to understand their needs, analyzing current system capabilities and gaps, and implementing solutions that meet the business goals.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the HRIS partner supporting designated product areas in Workday, such as Core HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Talent, Time Off and Time Tracking, etc.
  • Provide consultation to HR Business Partners and COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and teams to configure, test, validate and implement product changes in Workday. 
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities.
  • Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations). 
  • Perform system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches.
  • Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide HRIS analytical support for all Total Rewards projects across AEMEA.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various stakeholders and peers to accomplish project goals.
  • In partnership with Total Rewards colleagues, develop (and/or support development of) value-add tools and templates for both end users and the Human Resources team, to ensure efficient and effective processes.

Production Support:

  • Serve as escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues.
  • Provides production support, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. 
  • Maintains Workday.  Completes system tasks and to dos assigned.  Documents process and results.
  • Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data

Releases:

  • Assist with HR system testing for Workday releases under benefits, payroll, and compensation, including testing of integrations, security, and annual events.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday releases.
  • Maintains awareness of Workday with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying key technologies.

Reporting:

  • Generates custom reports, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.  
  • Assists in development of custom reports for ongoing customer needs in alignment with Kao reporting standards.  
  • Lead people analytics efforts to deliver meaningful metrics, trends and analytical insights via Workday reporting and dashboards to show the people data impact on business outcomes such as hiring attrition, leadership, and skills.
  • Provide ad hoc review and analysis of Total Rewards programs, including generating reports on topics of interest.
  • Participate in the market intelligence process including contributing to surveys, monitoring, and analyzing trends and creating reports.

Training:

  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality.
  • In partnership with Total Rewards colleagues, develop (and/or support development of) value-add tools and templates for both end users and the Human Resources team, to ensure efficient and effective processes.

What You Will Need

  • University Degree in a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years working experience in Human Resources, IT or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years' HRIS experience.  Preferred 3 or more years Workday and SAP experience.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management expertise, including cross-functional influence.
  • Workday Pro certification is preferred.
