The role:

The Academy Coordinator position will support all Academy programs and the Academy Managers in the planning and coordination of Academy activity.

Reporting to the Senior Academy Manager, you will manage daily operations, inventory management, and support the managing, communication, and execution of all Academy programs. Responsible for all operational activities and the execution of Academy programs, events, and attendee engagement.

**This is an on-site position including working Sundays.

What you will do:

  • Help complete all operational planning, set up, tear down, and day of coordination/follow up for Kao Salon Academy programs, custom events, and on-site company meetings.
  • Ensure that the programs meet Kao Salon Academy Standards for the ultimate enhanced experience for attendees by ensuring a high standard of service and personalized support.
  • Help oversee Academy inventories and organization associated with Academy programs.
  • Forecast, order, and maintain all appropriate literature, equipment and supplies of Academy.
  • Oversee daily activities of the Academy including vendor supplies, catering and deliveries from vendors for events.
  • Responsible for AV equipment maintenance reporting for repairs and needs.

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in professional salon industry
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Working knowledge of show event AV equipment and building management
  • Requires the ability to coordinate groups of 5 to 75 attendees.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
